Joe, that's not how they crack. you can plug in a million times and it won't crack.
it happens when you bang the plug against something or step on your cord while plugged in.

back on topic, that sucks Mike but we'll see how it plays out.

Thanks again to everyone, I did contact Reverb Support via CHAT. While he was looking into my complaint the seller refunded my money. The Chat person said he had refunded me my full price plus shipping charges and that there was really nothing they could do about it... Sure enough the money was there.

Frankly that is laminated guitar and whatever was wrong with it Pete Moreno could handle with one hand tied behind his back. But the seller Paul Belker of 53rd and 3rd on Reverb welched (in my book). He's full of the brown stuff... I'd bet you a sauerkraut sandwich (Inglorious Basterds quote) that he didn't see anything in Arlington and if he saw some older blonde 175s thinks he can get more money for it by pulling out, waiting a bit and re listing...

Anyway I do have another vintage item on the Radar, no not the D'A, I listened to you guys. Later in the day I'll update you all. Again my most gracious thanks to all of youse... Heck I might spend some of the money rescuing a few shelter dogs today.

not dismissive Joe. you're just not going to crack the rim by plugging in.

Been there, done that. On both counts, LOL!

The former was a 53 tele. Actually, it wasn't a headstock break. The entire neck had been broken off and repaired. I had it further repaired to the extent where you couldn't feel the break. I ended up selling the guitar, and regret that sale to this very day.

As for the latter, well, probably the less said the better.
