fwiw, you can simply set your guitar on a stand with the top facing your stereo speakers close as you can get without strings touching, leave your stereo playing while not home. At the very least, it can't hurt your guitar.
I did read a review on the tonerite and they did mention that new strings were dead in a pretty short while.

Actually I have a feeling that merely putting ? non coated only ] Strings into a toaster oven really hot for a few minutes might be an easy way to accomplish this.
I will try this with some Pure Nickel Strings 11s - I am curious if this will work on the Plain Strings ( steel )( as well.
I normally use Elixirs ( for the warmth not the coating )..what is readily available (.Pure Nickel )without the ' coating ' ?

Yes left the Tonerite on for a few days while things were busy at work - and works great - just enough life left in the flatwounds.
