Kind of... I put i thick piece of leather under the strings, right at the nut. Cut it in a pointed way, so that the muting effect on the lighter string is less strong. Maybe you could try that...

Can't find the pic on my HDD. I've posted it before on another thread:

Arpeggios - Open string resonance (post #3).

    I got a Tonerite
with my custom made archtop a few years ago - so now its working on those strings when Im not playing it.
I'll let you know if the thing actually works
Wow, that looks quite interesting. I'd love to hear what you think of it after you try it out for a while.

fwiw, you can simply set your guitar on a stand with the top facing your stereo speakers close as you can get without strings touching, leave your stereo playing while not home. At the very least, it can't hurt your guitar.
I did read a review on the tonerite and they did mention that new strings were dead in a pretty short while.

Will this work with non greasy Veggie Pizza ?
    Eat more slices ?

Actually I have a feeling that merely putting ? non coated only ] Strings into a toaster oven really hot for a few minutes might be an easy way to accomplish this.

I will try this with some Pure Nickel Strings 11s - I am curious if this will work on the Plain Strings ( steel )( as well.

I normally use Elixirs ( for the warmth not the coating )..what is readily available (.Pure Nickel )without the ' coating ' ?

I mean at GC or Sam Ash ?

Yes left the Tonerite on for a few days while things were busy at work - and works great - just enough life left in the flatwounds.

    "Eat more slices"

I tell my pizza guy to cut it into six slices cause I can't eat eight.

Pleas extrapolate on the nylon saddles. I had a 335 with them for a while but it was forty years ago and I didn't even own an amp at the time.
