I don't know. That's certainly possible. He was definitely using at least one of Michael Clark's amps while on tour with Diana Krall.

Michael is about a 10 minute drive away for me. He does all of my amp work. I have two that he built from scratch (both customized builds) and he rebuilt my 5c3 and modified it to use 12AX7s. They are all fantastic amps.

Are you talking about the At Mars possibly?

There's something about it here - he mentions Austen Hook:

Great amp compilation! You must have REALLY been bored at your job!

I like that you included one of my all time favorite amp brands...Heritage Amplification of Tennessee (defunct since 2008). Most of their amps were excellent for jazz. Burrell, Victory, Liberty and Patriot are my top choices, but the Briton and Colonial are killer as well.

Marshall doesn't get a lot of love from jazz players, but (rock/pop/RnB/Jazz-ish) artists like Johnny A. makes his 1958X and 2061 Marshalls sound great in his hands.

One of Anthony Wilson's Clark Amps was a customized Belmont that he sold in 2014.

Otherwise, Michael used to make an Anthony Wilson signature model.

I forgot to add (in my previous post) that John Scofield used a Mesa Mark I for years before switching to an AC30.

(the following is for the OP) And not to be pedantic, but Dominic plays a Lonestar, not a Roadstar Please fix the typo in the list. Thanks

    Nice list!

    Fender Princeton – Jim Campilongo

Some have – here too – praised the jazz sound of old Tweed Vibroluxes (same as Tweed Harvard plus a tremolo). But no known jazz players? (Steve Cropper might not be close enough...)

Scofield also used Sundown Artists, the real Sundowns built by Dennis Kager, the guy who did the humungous tube Ampegs that the Rolling Stones used.

Boogie-like in appearance, 68 lbs, with its 150 watts of tube goodness, and its EV-12L speaker...it has VERY active tone controls, and its clean tone is amazing...a Strat can sound like an archtop.

It's heavy, and a little quirky, and some don't like its reliability, but its the pride and joy, of my amps, though I rarely use it, due to neighbor noise concerns...still it's got Twin Reverb (and other sounds) in a 1 x 12 format.

    How about this one?

    Vintage 47 VA-185G - Jonathan Stout

Inspired by the Gibson 185 (not a clone, but gets a representative sound.) I don't know anyone else who plays one, but Jonathan certainly gets a good sound with it. I'm thinking about getting one of these myself.

He was playing through either a Deluxe or Twin Reverb...I couldn't quite tell from where I was sitting...but it was definitely Fender. It was probably the standard backline for the SF Jazz Center. But, he sounded as he always does...like John Scofield.
I've seen once Scofield teaching using a peavey bandit, and his sound was Scofield sound!

I liked the mention of a Walter Woods head. And you can add Carol Kaye as user too.
