No match for USA shows I suppose but there was some nice stuff there. All grossly overpriced. Friend of mine bought the blonde Super 400 which was super clean. Two bursts there this year although I only looked at the archtops for the rest

Thanks for the heads up. I've never been there. As usual I forgot it again. I've always wanted to go but I somehow never make it. Doubt I ever will, LOL.

5900 euro for an ES 300? That's silly. Were they all so overpriced?

yes everything there is overpriced, but I guess thats usual at these events. I dont even look at the labels, I also dont think the price tags reflect the prices they would actually sell for. I think most of the sales happen after negotiation, trading in, or just after the show

Thank God I'm not into vintage guitars, or I'd be in deep trouble!

What's that blonde Gretsch with filtertrons? Damn, that's nice, I never seen them in blonde, that would be a keeper for me!

I was there also. Some nice guitars but also some heavy prices as well. The Tall in the 3rd picture had dust on it of a few years.... The L5 at the Frans Elferink boot was quite nice though.

Other than the Levin and the Langs - any other nice vintage European archtops?

It was a noncut 50's electromatic , that had been put filtertons and a bigsby on (and new tuners/bridge) . Looks like this when original Vintage 1955 1950's Gretsch Electromatic/Corvette Archtop model 6183 natural | eBay In this modded shape might be a better player actually but still a $ 500-600 guitar if youd ask me but thats not what the price tag said ;-) they wanted north of 2k.

I didnt see any Rogers, or others that I recognized. Most German guitars dont have the name on the headstocks so I dont always know which is which. Several Levins and plenty of Hofners too but sorry I didnt make pics.... there was a nice Club 50 I played for a minute

That Super 400 looks great. You must have a very happy friend. I have never been to a guitar show but some day - I didn't know that the prices are usually inflated but I guess it makes sense unfortunately.

There was a Roger project guitar in natural. I think it was a junior...lots of work to do on that one. Really just a husk. Missing binding on the neck, fretwear. no bridge, no tailpiece or pickguard, broken tuners. Asking price was only 600 Euro. It was quickly gone...

I would have loved to have been there just to try out all of those great instruments.
