A bit of a late update but the electronics are on. CB Hill carved out a walnut pickguard and mounted everything to it. The jack is zip-tied to the tailpiece to ground the strings. With just the snip of the zip tie and two screw turns everything can go back to stock. The coil tap is really nice. I like to use it when switching from playing melodies to tapped when playing rhythm behind someone.
As a side note, I did some reading on solid vs kerfed linings and the classical guitar community seems to think that solid linings make a guitar louder and clearer. I am not sure if that applies to archtops but this is one loud guitar! I guess I lucked out and happened to get one with what seems to be the "best" specs Spartans ever came with.
