1988 Gibson ES-175

I should point out that I reactivated this old thread while researching mahogany backed 175s. Asle appears to have moved on to another blonde 175 from his latest clips on facebook. Great player in a bunch of styles!

You are correct, that is a different 175. I got a pretty good demo deal from CME on a 2016 VOS. The 1988 is long gone.. It was a nice guitar though. My guitar tech told me the other day that some guy had brought it in for headstock repair. Poooo!
The VOS is brighter and snappier. I believe it will mellow out but I like it. I also sold the Epi elitist.

Now, there's a 175 in action. Nice job, nice guitar. I lament selling mine. Can't beat a 175.

Again, Asle is really talented. I downloaded his album, great tunes at a bargain price - $5 for the download - support the guy! (and Asle, post those FB vids here!)
