Pedal steel players seem to prefer the Goodrich.

For me I always have prefered the Boss FV 50H. It's very light weight,durable, etc. But I use it as a Volume Level pedal at the end of my effects. As pointed out if 2 preset volume levels are needed a Boost or Optical Compressor might be the way to go!
