I went from a Gibson archtop to a mim Tele thinline. Three saddle bridge, 7.25 radius with a Seymour STR 1 at the neck.
Maple neck. The Gibson was great but the Tele's more versatile and durable. It fits my lifestyle better at this point. It's a serviceable jazz guitar. The sustain is nice.

For my style of jazz I need more acoustic sound that my archtop and resonator guitars provide much better. But due to problems with neighbours, the only one I can practice at home at nights is my tele, with headphones on. I never felt the tele is right for jazz for me, because I need the feel of heavy strings, and the tension on long scale guitars never made it comfortable to use them...
Until I decided to try a top loading bridge, and wow, now it's the whole different world! It feels like I play a short scale, nice loose feel, and for whatever reason it became louder acoustically too, so I can enjoy it more unplugged! Is top loader the best kept secret in the tele world or what?
