Total class act. Just bought a new L5 from them. They shipped it in a 3 ply oversized box filled to the brim with peanuts. They also had a log sheet on the box that UPS had to sign at every transfer station. Not a mark on the box. New L5 wine Wesmo for $6400 delivered. Fair price and really friendly customer service. Nice T shirt too.
They are dealing right now. You can get a new VSB L5P/BJB for the same price. It's a buyers market right now and I think in another 6-8 months the deals will even get better. I believe Gibson finally out priced themselves.
That and the fact that the archtop market is saturated. Good time to buy. Bad time to sell.
Wildwood gets a thumbs up from me.

Awesome and congrats on the new guitar. Any pictures yet?

And apologies for my extremely bad manners... Nice score Vincenzo - great to see the Shipping Gods are smiling on you yet again !! (huge exhale from the Chicago Suburbs on your behalf).

I bought two guitars from them and also had superb customer service in spite of having to return one of them.

Looks like they have a few ES-275s
ES-275 Guitars at Wildwood Guitars, Authorized Gibson Dealer | Wildwood Guitars
and also this:
L-5 Double Cut | Hollowbody/Archtop | Gibson Custom Shop | Electrics | Wildwood Guitars

Congrats in advance Vinny. I have met Steve, the owner of Wildwood (he is a friend of an old high school buddy of mine who introduced us). Total class act indeed. The guitar market is saturated, and it is not just archtops. Total buyers market right now. Prices of the good stuff got too high over the last few years. We are seeing a correction.

Congrats on the guitar ... hope this works out to be a good one
I picked up a Les Paul from Wildwood back in '05 ....
I was in the Denver area for a wedding
Their store front is surprisingly small for such a huge internet dealer, but they took me around the corner to their warehouse and it was very impressive ... rooms full of guitars and stacked up to the ceiling with them
FWIW I was in Rainbow in Tucson a few weeks ago .... the have discontinued their Gibson dealership ... Gibson is asking them to buy too much stock ... I suspect that Gibson will come back and work a deal with them sooner rather than later
My guess is that Gibson will have to lower their prices to keep things moving .... it won't be the first time they have overreached with their pricing and then had to make adjustments

That is my new guitar Greg is playing. I will post a NGD tomorrow.

Bluedawg,
I suspect that prices are reducing even here in the UK
only yesterday I negotiated a deal on a new Es 275
in Dark Natural Vintage, not only cheaper than a
Montreaux Burst model purchased in May, but approx
20% less than the current MRP and a good part exchange
to boot on another non Gibson guitar. So it would seem
your guess may be correct.
-
congrats Vinny,
just curious, have you ever thought of buying used?
new guitars are like cars, as soon as you drive them off the lot they depreciate.
-
Hear Hear for market correction! Congrats Vinny! I knew it was only a matter of time before you found another one!
-
I like the new car and new nitro smell. :-) Besides if I get a good guitar I never sell it. Like Patrick my kids will have to deal with it. Guitars are my disposable income hobby anyway. When I was young I always bought used cars. Once I bought a new car I never bought a used one again.

Buying used cars is risky too. You just don't know what you are getting with no warranty. Tail light guarantee.
Some people can't handle losing a dime on a guitar purchase. That doesn't bother me. I will just make more money.
it is also kind of like to you want to sleep with this virgin or this prostitute.
I would buy a used guitar off of any of you guys but Reverb or EBay would make me too nervous.
I sweat bullets buying brand new sight unseen as it is. I had a bud that owned a music store for 42 years. He retired 2 years ago so my great connection is gone. I just always bought new because he gave me the smoking deals and zero risk. I hate online sight unseen guitar buying big time.

Hmm....I have always preferred a gal who knew what she was doing...Motorcycle and chicks are both easier to ride once they have been broken in. Just sayin'

I would like to get a older really nice Heritage someday. The ones made in the early 90's are so nice !
Those HJS's you guys have been scoring are so sweet !
-
Most of the stuff I scored is from the early 90s and they're amazing... I shake my head when I take one of these out of their cases and play them... I'm a Believer.

AMEN brother !

reminds me of an old Joe Venuti story,
he says to the audience "any requests?"
someone says "play Feelings!"
Joe says "Feelings?? that's the worst f*cking song I've ever heard, that's it, no more requests!"
-
There were so many artists in 1976 that recorded their version of Feelings. Freddie Hubbard recorded it on his '76 Windjammer LP.

Congrats Vinny !! Glad it arrived safely and you love it . The Wes Mo is a beautiful guitar - enjoy it forever my friend .

wine red is the most bestest and onlyest finish for an archtop. never understood while people struggle to grasp this. can't wait to see and hear more of it. enjoy it!
as for the double cut l5- a local store has one and honestly, it doesn't look that horrible in person. it makes more sense that way, somehow. it was way to high for me to give it a shot, though. not that they'd let it fall into my unwashed paws.
