Found this baby a long time ago on Reverb. Small town music store in an area with no jazz players any more. NOS, it took 2 years for Heritage to deliver it once ordered. I can't wait... The ad had it written not as Sweet 16 but Sweet Sixteen. The owner said Heritage sells 3 grades of tops and this is the best. Nice wood for the sides and back. Always loved that slightly thinner and smaller body. Type 1 floating pickup.

My little friend Birdie went MIA on me Wednsday, I found her body this morning on my porch. This Sweet 16 will always remind me of her and how we made each other happy.

That's a beauty. It has a more traditional heel carve.

True naturals are even more impressive looking in person.

    Enjoy!

Mike, I got a message earlier today from you that you left yesterday, (and SS too...). I am so bad with my phone. I'm sorry Mike.
Sweet 16's are in my bucket list right next to a Ribbecke Halfling. I've never played a sweet 16. But I admire them.
You are having an insane amount of fun. Live Mikey. Live.

The 1st time I saw one was at Golden Age Guitars. I brought $2500 with to buy an L7c. I swear that if I had $6,000 on me I would have left with the Halfling. Most unique sound for the player, ever.
    Sorry Mikey...

Those are sooo cool. A local shop (Cream City Music) had one. I was a blem model, but even with the (minor) cosmetic flaw, it was a great looking, killer sounding guitar. Alas, but it cost more than I could afford. <Sigh!>

Big~ Man, you are on a roll, brother! Yep, a big old jelly roll, with extra glaze topping. You are going to love that Sweet 16. An almond burst 16 was my first of many Heritages. It was like an L7, but so much sweeter. Your blonde is over the top sweet.

Guitar got here about 1:30 and it was at room temp so tuned her up and played it a bit. Then plugged her into the FUCHS ODS 20, wow this thing has a lovely chime and clarity !! Holy Sh*t... After getting all of Patrick's guitars and the Byrdland this one seems a little plain looking but it's quite nice. Can't get over the tone. Speaking of TONE I'm gonna need to get a tone pot installed, would like to dial the tone back just a wee taste. Don't like messing with the controls on the FUCHS.

In loving memory of my lost little bird I'm naming this one Birdie in her memory...

    Enjoy the weekend guys !!

Mike you don't need a tone pot. Just decide how much treble you want rolled off and solder a tone cap onto the volume pot. Remember when their is no tone control in the circuit and just a volume knob it is like having a tone control maxed out on 10. 250k cap would = 5 on a treble knob and 500K would be like having the tone control close to zero. Another option as 2 knobs on a pickguard can tend to get in your hands way. Just a suggestion.

So Vinny, so that I'm clear, what you're saying is with no tone control on an acoustic it's like having a guitar with tone control set at 10?

So if I'm setting the tone control at 10 anyway, I don't need a tone control ever?

Thanks for the input. So much for putting a tone control on the big beast 18".
