    I agree with the first part, but I don't think that no one but us German speakers get _this_ one right. Half of Europe does.

    If you can say "les yeux bleus", you can also "Höfner".

    (Exercise: "Ölüberschussländer" = "oil surplus countries")

    It's not that hard to say Hofner in German...

    My mother in law was a German teacher. Make your mouth in the shape of an "o" and say "eee." Works...at least it gets American English speakers in the ballpark.

    Boy, if you can find one of the 200 Verythin John Stowell models that were made ten years ago, get it!

    The Hofner Verythin John Stowell was made between 2001 and 2010.
    Your number is optimistic - they didn't make that many of them.
