The post-war L-50 fingerboard is most likely attached to the top of the guitar as opposed to being raised up above the top.
This means that a Dearmond will not fit anywhere close to the end of the fingerboard, as there will not be enough clearance between the top of the guitar and the strings.
Same goes for the fancier postwar L-4 and the less fancy post-war L-48.
Here's how far up toward the neck you can get with a typical Dearmond mounted to a post-war L-4 / L-50 / L-48. Not a bad thing. Less creamcheese and more, uh, capers. Rawk!:

Big band rhythm is pretty much all I’m doing these days. Some days are better than others. We have a very good electric bassist but I do miss working with standup acoustic bass.
