Joe D sold his L-5 to a good friend of mine. It is in good hands and is used for public performances often. By obtaining a genuine D'Angelico, Joe D has gone to the only level that might be over that of a Gibson L-5.

Sorry, I meant Joe at archtop.com.
Congrats again Dennis! That is a beautiful quiver of jazz boxes you have there!

Thanks SS. The L5 is in extremely capable hands, trust me.
I'll never leave the heard though. I still Booboo and the Solid Formed. One day, I'll add a Johnny Smith.
The guitars I have fit my style better.. And then, there's D'Angelico. The one guitar that makes me tremble everytime I play it..

SS, if we're talking about strictly acoustic guitars I'd agree, but comparing an L-5CES to a an acoustic DA is kinda apples and oranges.

Thats one sharp looking guitar you got there! Bob

My sunburst Wesmo is my favorite guitar. I hope you love yours just as much as I do. Congrats.
I will say my blonde L5 sounds better but I just love the looks of a sunburst.

Like I said they added some Cremona shades on the sides and headstock, so it really has a better / more enhanced
'burst tone than usual.
Thanks !

A L5 "is" the guitar. Looks like you got a real special one Dennis. May it delight your ears and inspire your playing for many years to come. Your 3 amigo's are awesome.

Thanks Vinny !

It'll be fun to get at this once it's set up ! And if there's a blonde L-5 in my future - -and there could very well be -- I may be back to 4 guitars again......oh well, it's a nasty job, but - - - ...

Nice!!
