Eminence Tonkerlight - Super light 12" guitar speaker rated 125W

I ordered a Deltalite 12" and a Lil Texas 12". I ordered directly from Eminence as Cobi was so helpful. I will get to AB them, swap amps etc.

I invited Cobi here to the forum. He said in the past some forums got steamed when a manufacturer got involved on their forums, but I said we have a lot of mellow, aging jazz musicians with nothing better to do than chirp to each other about gear. And the younger guys here are respectful (mostly) and currently we have no Trolls.

This is a very nice forum and no one would be pissed (I wouldn't think) if someone from Eminence jumped in to answer questions.

So, I will have some ideas about what the speakers sound like when I get them. Eminence are cleaned out of both models until June 6th, so it will be about 3 weeks until I get them.

Forgive me if I missed it doc, but may I please ask what cabs will you put the speakers in, and are they closed open or both? You mentioned the Fender Sidekicks and Rumble, but I am not familiar with those amps. -- Thanks.

I have the following amps that need speaker changes.

Fender Sidekick Reverb 25 ... 10"
Fender Reverb 35 SKX ... 12"
Fender Sidekick Switcher Reverb 85 ... 12"
Pignose 60 Watt Valve Tube amp ... 12"

All are open back. The Sidekick 25 has a JBL D110F, but it needs to be reconed I think, and as it weighs a ton with that gigantic ass magnet, so maybe a new Eminence 10" would be the way to go. Dunno yet.

How common is 2 Ohm impedance in a speaker? I know the JMUL counted on it for its 250W rating.

Not common at all. In fact, a lot of amp only support down to 4 ohm.

I don't found Delalite you mean Delta Pro 12a ?
EV EM12L ha out of stock
Clone would be EV EPs12c OR WGS12L or what other ?
Maybe Celestion BN12-300s used by Quilter in HD combo and cab?
