The amp sounded a bit flat and had some noise issues, but I got it for a great price. I sent it to for a check up, new tubes and new capasitors. Will get it back next week. Will let you know the result.

This is my third Fuchs modded amp. The first was a MM 210 65 (or 75, it's been a while). It was fantastic.
This new one is a bit of an odd bird in that it's in an old Ampeg cabinet, has 1 12 inch Celestion marked Vox. The seller was VERY knowledgable about FUCHS ODS amps and this one is ready to play. At some point I will likely look into getting a hardwood cabinet for it. Right now I'll be glad to play Blondie and Goldie thru her. These Fuchs modded amps are real sleeper deals. Have a look about on Reverb and eBay from time to time. Andy guts the donor chassis and puts in new CTS sockets, caps, and pots, installs his ODS board and does a bang up job on the point to point rewire. When it leaves his shop it's a Dumblesque clone that is essentially a new amp. Worth looking into.

    Congrats.

Too late to influence your (correct) decision, but I thought I would add a little...

I had an RP-115-100 in the 80s and should never have got rid of it. Fortunately, I got the opportunity to correct that mistake last year and picked up another one from a guy in Zaandam.

This one definitely needs a little work, as you've found with yours, as it's a little noisy and not quite as insanely loud as I recall. However, the master volume is really good and it's a better low volume amp than any of my other amps. At the other end of the dial, the head room is great and the only thing that the solid state pre/valve power arrangement lacks is distortion when you turn up the gain, which is probably not an issue with jazz...

In late 70's to very early 80's I had the MM HD212. One of the loudest amps I ever used. Weighed a ton. Came with casters. Built like a tank. The 65W 210 would be all you'd need,,even one 10, or 12. They're still around,,here and there.
For rock, the old Sunn Model T head was nice, but I'm getting off topic, here. I did have a Fender Showman head that would have been great for jazz, I bet. Hard to make it overdrive, tho I've always had a tendency for liking clean tones,,even with loud rock,,as long as it'd sustain. Having a guitar with good intrinsic sustain goes a long way toward accomplishing that. Many jazzers are not that concerned with it, though, I realise.
