Not shown previously, and not many pictures due to frustration, but the back warped and the crack opened up again after spraying the lacquer. So all the braces had to be soaked and removed with heat and it all had to be re-done.

I am digging the sound of that guitar too. Hard to believe such a sound can come out of something so old and "primitive" in its design.

I use mostly hand tools but I do have a power drill.

In the end my Telecaster jack looks pretty close to the original.
