I've been posting pictures of this guitar throughout the many stages and reincarnations of its life on here so it might look familiar but I finally got it all together. CB Hill did the super clean custom rout to be able to use a Lollar Charlie Christian without a pickguard and 13th Street Guitars just got a Plek machine so I went to them for the final assembly. I've been curious about those things for a while and they're really pretty cool.
Specs:
Warmoth chambered swap ash body with a walnut top
Warmoth bird's eye maple neck with macassar ebony fretboard
1 3/4" nut width, 10-16" compound radius, '59 profile
Lollar Charlie Christian neck
Seymour Duncan Little '59 bridge
boom.

Nice looks goods pretty close to what I'd like to do. My change would be the Lollar PUP only and use a strat hard taii bridge.
-
Just beautiful. I like the specs and the pups, too.
-
Thanks guys! I rotated the photos but not I can't figure out how to get rid of the sideways ones.
The guitar sounds as good as it looks too.

that's beautiful... congrats..

Beautiful guitar! Congratulations.
I've been thinking about building a partscaster myself. Any lessons learned from your experience? Any wisdom to share?
-
Nice one. Like the neck specs.
What does it sound like??
-
I'd love a Tele with a cc pickup. Looks very inviting!
-
I've been looking for a ashtray bridge that didn't have the pickup cutout. No luck yet.

Thanks! They're really fun to do. My only advice is don't rush it. They're a good opportunity to experiment and really find out what you like and what you don't. I learned a lot about what my hands need to survive long gigs throughout the process of trying different necks. Plus, change a few parts from time to time and it's like always having a new guitar!

Timely post for me. Recently I've been looking at parts on line, thinking a project for 2016: tele with cc pu and a 1 3/4 nut width neck. Where are your other posts about your process and build? I would like to read them.
-
That neck is beautiful. Can you remember what frets are on it? Any idea of the all-up weight?
-
To all you who are too lazy to put together a partscaster (that's me!), G&L has a 1 3/4" nut width option. It's unlikely you'll find one for sale, but you can order it.

I haven't really posted anything with text about the process, there's just some photos floating around of the various stages of the build.
