Looks like finally comes full circle, isn't it?

I don't believe I'm the only one thinking that Heritage is the REAL Gibson Co. as God intended it to be...

Another home run for Gibson in the "guitars nobody asked for" category.

I guess it is time Gibson get a real "Good" marketing team targeting what the people are looking for...
Until they do, many people will continue buying used stuff from their more glorious days !!!

There are a few experts on this matter in Kalamazoo. Haha

A Sharp/Florentine cutaway would have worked much better for that body size which I guess is a 14.5" to 15" lower bout.

It is more a case of Gibson following Collings, namely, the Collings SoCo which looks a damn sight better with the stoptail sitting in the correct Les Paul position too! And with a Les Paul horn! That is to say, the Collings SoCo looks more like a Gibson than the Gibson L9. Missed opportunity, Gibson.

Yeah ... I like it, too

I also like the Heritage and the Collings ...

but I like the L9 as well ....

we'll see what the price is .. and if it's anywhere near as good as a Tal Farlow maybe I'll nab one ...

but it will probably be on the expensive side and I'll just keep saving for a Super Eagle or Super 400

In Canada it seems available, bit on the expensive side though

looks to me more like 16" or 17"

[edit] i read elsewhere that it's a 17" pressed archtop. Carving would cost more...

Wow, Gibson prices are absurd. For that money, I could have a custom guitar built.

...not that I have that money. I'll be playing my ES-139 for the rest of my life!

Bummer! I know Jay Wolfe of Wolfe Guitars says he does a lot of overseas business regarding Heritage sales. Maybe give him a buzz. I bought a guitar from him 5 or 6 years ago and he and Graham were class acts the whole way.

Cool, I hope you'll remind me once something like that becomes relevant! I fear that I won't ever be able to afford one but I sure as hell can hope.

Nothing wrong with hoping! I hope to own a 1996 Heritage Super Eagle one day. Although not exactly cheap, the biggest obstacle will be finding one made in 1996 that's also for sale!
