The main thing is that you the owner is happy w/ whatever guitar you buy Parallel or X bracing. I still stand by my comments. L-5CES sound pretty dead acoustically, and archtops were originally Parallel braced to cut through the big horn bands of the 1930's and 40's (Think Freddie Green)

Little update:
I decided not to buy that particular guitar since I prefer the normal 1 3/4 nut width and...I somehow want the typical Manhattan design with the X bracing.
AND: A friendly Forum member offered me his Manhattan which has all the prefered specs.
So now the Money saving starts....

I had been saving for a new vehicle when the right one showed up. It only took about 5 seconds for me to decide to drive my current car for the next few years and clean out that account. As you can imagine, I have absolutely no regrets about that decision. Best of luck on your quest!
