Followed by the most expensive tuning machines in the world. $40 million smackeroons. Brought to you by the same people who brought you the most expensive guitar in the world.

This guitar valuable only in terms of its component parts, AFAIC.
-
complete with a crappy looking rosewood fretboard

"The production is more precise and unlike anything Gibson has done before,"
Lol thats probably true
"While they were originally planning on altering the inside of their instruments, adding all kinds of tech into the interiors of guitars, their research showed them that true fans simply would not have it"
All kinds of tech (shock horror).
No carbon fibre reinforced neck :-(
No modern bi-truss rods that actually work :-(
No push pull Coil Splitting
So next time your gibson needs a set-up and you just cant get it the way you want, or the truss rod hasn't get enough room left to pull the neck straight because the neck has gone 50 shades of ??? you know who to blame, the 'true fans' apparently.

No $40million R$D can replace this:

Probably neck heavy, no ?

Most expensive, possibly. Most valuable, doubtful.
Thanks for the Martin Taylor video. That was really informative.
Here is a closer pic. I do like how the body is hollow with the wire mesh but you better hope your hand doesn't stray and hit anywhere on the body. This would be a cool design sans-gems.

Well, if you want innovation, look at Godin.

Most expensive yes but also one of the least appealing. Even if you had that kind of money would anyone buy it ? I very much doubt it. There is no appeal as a musical instrument. If you wanted a lot of jewelery wouldnt you just buy a lot of jewelery ? And if you wanted an expensive guitar youd buy a celebrity owned instrument, or something of historical importance. But I just dont see the appeal in the combination of a new guitar with diamonds on it.

...but its an SG !

$2 mil and still not as cool as a Gretsch Sparkle Jet!

You can put a pig in a dress, and it's still a pig in a dress :-)

Liberace would have LOVED this!

I liked the Fender Yuri Shishkov Faberge Pinecone Strat much more. I think it's a lot less money, too, at $1m. You could have your Strat and a McLaren, too

I am normally a pretty reasonable guy, as can be seen from my posts on this forum...but in terms of guitars, between the SG in the OP and the PineCone Strat, some of the ugliest sh!t I have seen in a long time is all on this thread.
No offence, but................Last edited by mangotango; 06-19-2015 at 12:09 PM. Reason: Despite my size, I am "guy" not "guys".......
