Does a Gibson ES-175 Fat Neck exist?
I googled it, but can only find a 335 Fat Neck, and I already got that one...

My 335 is for sale, and I'm looking to buy a ES-175.
I just like the full hollow body guitars of its tone and thickness.

Just love the Fat Neck on my 335.

    Any help?
    Thanks!

I had a 96 model with a surprisingly fat neck. So i suppose around that era you could try looking.

I recently trade for a 1999 and it has a Fat Neck and I like it.

Some of the '59 VOS ES175's have extremely fat necks. I found mostly the ones made in 2012-13.

If you want some used, 1-Pickup love my 96 ES165 has a clubby neck (they call it a jazz profile IIRC).
You can usually find them cheaper than 175s but they are the same guitar with a couple of cosmetic differences and a single HB.

I have a '59 VOS with a relatively fat neck compared to most 175s - not as fat as my R8, though.

You should check out the limited run of P-90 175s that Gibson did in 2006. Mine has a really fat neck - it's my best guitar and they can be had for great deals.

Is 3265 euro too much money for a used 2008 Gibson Es-175 Reissue?

    Hell yes.

You can buy one here in the UK for £1850. I would be happy to facilitate your buying if you needed.

I'm searching for a Vintage sunburst es-175 reissue (not the '59, can't afford it) with fat neck. I have big hands, long fingers and I hate the skinny necks. The sunburst on the page above is so cool. A used one is fine as long it is a goog quality guitar. Don't have special wishes for the pick-ups. As long as they are original.

    Hey joe,

You say a used one is fine but I take it you are only looking for used, hence your price.

Well i've had a quick look around and it turns out you picked a really bad time. Theres nothing at the mo I'm afraid but if something does come up, then I will let you know.

Maybe see if you can get the guy in the shop to come down in price. But generally yes, here they go for under £2,000 very often.

If you can beat your guy down to €2850? i'de say you were staring to get there.

Also see if you can speak to Dic, he might be able to help you. He's in holland too and knows a lot of players who might be selling.

    Hi ArchtopHeaven,

Ah ok, I couldn't find one either.
    Only in the US.

In Holland a normal reissue, very expensive.
Just went to my local guitarshop to look (and talk, smile etc) to a '59 Reissue es-175. Just too beautiful.
I'm not a good guitar player but that instrument is soon nice! Even acoustic it sounds so good!

I just bought my first set ever of 0.12 flat wounds for my Gibson es-335 fat neck.
This is much more Jazzy compared to round wounds.
never thought this would make such a difference.
If I can't find a decent priced 175, maybe I'll go for a cheaper alternative like an Epiphany Broadway or Peerless, but that's another forum topic.

Thanks for the help so far!!
