I never owned a LP but recently found out they made an ES LP with F holes and a non F hole version but the latter is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Having watched an AB of the two versions, I think It might have been Andersons in the UK, I thought the Non F hole sounded better but as I was unable to find one I forgot about them. I'm predominantly an acoustic player and having changed my Martin Dreadnoughts to more manageable 000 and Om sizes (Old age, I guess) I found on the occasion where electric wasn't needed, my 335 was beginning to feel cumbersome. So when I spotted this 339 on Reverb, having belonged to a collector and therefore, in mint condition, I jumped at it. I have to say, It's just stunning, perfect in every way. Sounds great, comfortable to play, seated or standing and looks so gorgeous, I'm like a kid starring at his first electric guitar at the end of his bed, before falling asleep. Interesting note about the gig bag, mine came with a hard case, stamped Gibson on the outside. Reasonable quality but I don't think Its a genuine Gibson case and I would much more have preferred good quality gig bag.
