Delay Pedals and Jazz Guitar?

I have one of those old red Boss analogue delay pedals, it never gets used for jazz.

However, I love the sound of the boss delay in tandem with my Boss '63 Reverb pedal for a slapback/50's kind of sound. It's always on if I'm doing Travis picking or Chet style arrangments.

A proper tape echo and plate reverb would be the 'real' thing but the Boss Analogue delay with the '63 Reverb pedal sounds very convincing to my ears.

i love the reverb/delay combo; it's a pretty integral part of my sound.
The guitars were done using a Boss SD-1 overdrive into a Belle Epoch delay, then into a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface,
and then from there into a MacBook Air running Ableton 10.
i also used Roli Blocks for the drum and keyboard parts.
