Oh sure Kris, I was just pointing out there's already an old thread so all the info can be in the same place. Maybe post the price there?
-
At 17 lbs for the amp and 11 lbs for the extension cabinet that's some pretty portable stuff. With a regular price of around $1000 and $600 respectively we'll see how it sells.

I wonder how different the amp section is from the existing 110, I like that the Bud amp is dual channel. The Bud itself is a little bright to me, but with time to play with EQ that should be able to control. The size and weight is definitely tempting.
Hummm I can see attaching a mic stand adapter on the bottom so you could attach it to a small mic stand and adjust height at gigs.

I think I want one of these.

FYI - Feedback from Peter @ Henriksen responding to my email:
"The EQ centers and Q were adjusted to accommodate acoustic instruments, but the preamp is mostly unchanged in terms of amplifying an electric.. However, the cabinet size and consequent projection are going to make it naturally less dark than the JazzAmp series, but you can adjust that using the EQ.
The Bud is similar to our ER models, you can turn down the high end with the EQ settings. The tweeter we use is so smooth, I doubt you will feel the need to tune it out playing your electric."
I am optimistic that this amp will work well with all of my guitars, especially with the addition of an extension cabinet that can also brighten or darken the tone as needed or in louder playing situations.

I'm seriously considering this amp but need for it to really sound great with steel string acoustics or it's a no-go.
I already have an older Jazz Amp 10 Convertible which sounds great of course with my ES-175. In an effort to accommodate my steel string acoustics, I bought the original 'Tweety' and was VERY DiSAPPOINTED.
Based on how the EQ is designed and managed on The Bud, anybody care to weigh in on its quality and capability with steel string acoustics?
I watched the demo with Sean McGowan but was not fully convinced after watching him DADGAD doodle on the Nickerson flattop.

Interesting. I have the 112, and with a Tweety my Guild F-47 with phosphor-bronze strings sounds phenomenal!
-
Glad it works for you. Of course everything is subjective. My reference is my AER Compact 60 which is wonderful with my acoustics but too sterile sounding for my ES-175 IMO.

Curious do you have the 'original' Tweety or the 2nd generation unit?
-
I've grown to like the Tweety for times when I want to play acoustic guitars through my tweeter-less Jazzkat. The trick for me was to dial it way back to where I can barely tell it's on.
-
Cool. Do you also use it with the Henricksen Jazz Amp?

I'm not certain, but I suspect it is 2nd generation as it was one of the last available when I got it.

I went through this process with several treble control settings on the amp until I found one I preferred. In effect, I'm using the amp's treble control and the Tweety's pad as a crossover, trying to get a smooth transition between the woofer and tweeter.
