Hey All,
I just wanted to share something that I am really excited about. The idea was to combine a tele and a Brian Setzer 6120 as well as possible. The sides are bent, the top and back are carved inside and out. There is even trestle bracing just like the 6120. The bigsby had to be cut down and rewelded since the tele`s body is much shorter than guitars it is originally design for. What do you think? Would you have went with the same color or something different? The guitar has a special nitro trans type dye job, where in direct light the guitar is yellow/orange and in low lighting the guitar looks red/orange. Is it too 6120 or too tele?
Thanks,
Rob

Man, somebody missed out on the opportunity to call it the "Fetsch"
-
Marwin, stop trying to make "Fetsch" happen.
-
lol…Fetsch is genius. Mr. Beaumont you are funny!
-
I'm glad somebody got the reference!
-
I love it. Who built it? TV Jones actually built something like this for Brian Setzer about 15 years ago, old in roundup orange.
-
Ha I was a little bummed that I actually got that reference….Hey Jim I built it (Dead Tree Guitars).

love it also on my way to check out 'dead tree guitars" great work

Cool! Did you see the model that The Fender Custom Shop already did back in 2010?
-
Nice looking guitars on the site! Would love to try one someday, where are you located?

Fertsch, please.

I really dig deadtree's headstock. Weird enough to be interesting, classic enough to look good probably on almost anything...

The photo of the back of this guitar seems to have gotten stuck in the buffer memory of my iPad so every time I come to this site I see that photo for a second or two while the site loads. What a beautiful guitar. I love the way you integrated the curves into the top and back. You've done a wonderful job of imposing three dimensions onto what is normally a two dimension surface. I don't know what your plans are for this design but in my minds eye I can see all sorts of possibilities and I think several of them could be really exciting.
