I've wanted one forever, but don't play much swing or gypsy, no bluegrass or bottleneck blues to speak of. But your playing makes me think I've finally found an excuse. You sound great and congratulations.
I think that's the only guitar I would probably buy "relic'ed" - they look great with the buffed out finish, and I generally like new looking gear. Yours looks wonderful.

I know some people were interested in hearing more of the clip-on mic in action.
Here's Duke Ellington's "The Mooche". I'm playing rhythm through out, I stepped on my XLR A/B box for the solo, which sends it to another channel that's louder in both the mains and monitors.
I was going for a bit of Lonnie Johnson on this one, since he recorded it with Duke in 1928.
Again, the guitar is a friend's borrowed Loar LH-600.

Oh, and it's totally worth loading in HD for better sound.

Thanks for posting, Jonathan. I was impressed by how faithfully the clip on mic was able to replicate the acoustic sound. The only reason I know that your sound was amplified was that you let me know, otherwise I would have bet on the guitar having been acoustically powerful enough to cut through.
Which mic are you using? I ask because I know that gypsy jazzers go gaga over a certain Audio Technica model.

Thanks, man. It's the one all the Gypsy guys use too, the AT841b, but I have it on a clamp on gooseneck, instead of the on the lavalier clips that come with it. I talk about it a bit on my blog, if you want some details.
I cheaped out on the A/B box, so mine doesn't have a status light, so I have to be able to hear the difference in the house and monitors to know whether I'm playing through the "lead" or "rhythm" channel on the board. I'm definitely gonna have to rectify that soon, and buy a box with a light on it.
The sound on the video is the FOH mix straight off the board, with a bit of the camera mics blended in for room sound.
