Different strokes for different folks. I played a Jazzking and hated it, thought it sounded like generic solid state jazz amp. The appeal of the JMUL is the Fender colored voicing in a lightweight package with enough power for professional use. I'm not aware of anything currently out there that has that combination (haven't tried a Quilter, but they're heavier). The AI/RE combination is a very different darker, and more modern SS sound than what the JMUL was going for.
