Just a thought- haven't tried it. How about the old reinforcements you used to keep loose leaf pages from falling out. Yes I'm that old. They have adhesive and could could do one side or both.

Doc Music - good suggestion.........I just have to remember where they are..........

My daughter bought me a jar of Pick Honey by Gorilla Snot as a Christmas present. It works, I suppose, but feels like you've got drying YooHoo glue on your fingers, I keep wiping it off on my pants.......not a good thing, my wife says.
I guess its like violin bow rosin in fact. Trouble is I also fingerpick some songs when performing and don't like the rosin-y feel at all.
Back to masking tape or loose leaf reinforcement circles -although the ones I found are gloss.

I just ordered some of the Dava picks to try. They also make them in a smaller jazz size. There is only one thickness. The colors correspond to the material used. In the assortment pack you get 2 nylon, 2 delrin and 2 gel. They also have them in the smaller jazz style. There is an earlier thread here for the Dava jazz pick.

I have some of the small red "Jazz" ones. The grip is first rate. They're real easy to hold onto, without feeling sticky or squishy or clammy. I use something else now (for other reasons) but the Dava grip really suited me.

I lick my picks. Kind of a habit really. The Dunlop Tortex picks provide a good grip for me.

I tried this years ago--they didn't help much and quickly fell off. The glue on them is intended to bond with something porous...perhaps paper?

DAVA Jazz Grips have become a favorite for me. I have very dry hands and struggle to hold on to picks. I've used Gorilla Snot, but it stays on your fingers after playing, and who wants sticky fingers all the time? The DAVA Jazz grips give you the tone of a 1.0 or 1.25 pick but they flex about like a .75, which helps with speed as well. Otherwise I really like the Jazz III XL's in Ultex, as the lettering is raise enough to give me decent grip.

I still have a half dozen of them around. I like the feel too.
