This. Great value, IMO. Really nicely built, unlike most Furutama garbage.

You might contact Repro Guitar Parts to see if they could make or find a hinge plate for you.

I’ve come across the VT60 tailpiece with the four screws would this be an exact fit for the AFJ 91.
-
Brass instrument shops have the right equipment to repair (weld) tailpieces.
But a cheap generic tailpiece à la the forementioned Kluson or the Furatama ‘garbage’ works great.
I recently got a generic trapeze tailpiece from WD Music, with the ‘raised diamond’ (which makes it look just a little less cheap).

I've owned mine since the first year they became available. It did have a faulty wood-metal tailpiece that failed. I replaced it with a gold trapeze. Changed the pick guard to classic black. Excellent outcome.

Where is this tailpiece from? I like it very much.
Thanks for help.

These crappy Furutama tailpieces are widely available and cheap. I think they are cast zinc, or possibly compressed dryer lint. Maybe both. Here are a few on ebay:

...sure looks exactly like the piece that's now factory-installed on both current AG95 and AMH90 that i recently brought to the stable.

between short ones and standard ones, gold-plated ones and black-plated ones, i've bought no less than 6 different pieces in the last months.
even with a magnifying lens, i could not spot a difference to the stock ones i replaced (only for type of finish or overall length, nothing wrong with them).
i only removed the rubber backing that's glued on the body mount, as i don't want no soft thing in there – and i'm happy to keep cracks in the finish instead, if ever they'll grow behind it. :-)
