one a whirl if you can , your opinion would be interesting.
Do you have both or at least directly compared both the Henriksen 112 and Mambo 12?

    Hi Jazz 175.
    ,
Yes I have both , a Henriksen Jazzamp 112ER and a Mambo 12 ( special with an "Eighteen"
Speaker installed as an extra option & an extension spkr option,
Both are excellent , given the choice I would defer to the Mambo every time for gigging.
To add further fuel to the fire I also have two Evans , I combo and the AH200 head plus
an RE stealth 12 ER, they are something else. Complicated to dial up bit extremely versatile
Sorry if I've put the cat amongst the pigeons.

The principals of Henriksen Amps and Mambo Amps are both very nice people. Nice sounding amps from genuinely nice people (NOT the "they want your money" unctuously supplicating kinda nice). Those are good reasons to support them.

(No experience with the principal of Evans Amps so no implication by omission.)

Thanks, which Eighteen Speaker you installed?

Jon uses the 12W500 Eighteen speaker as an 12" option; 350W, 99.5dB, about 10lb, made in Italy. More to the point perhaps , it sounds more like an EV speaker, with extended treble range and slightly more efficient than the stock Emi Beta 12.

There are also neo speaker options available with mambo amps.

    Hi Jazz175

I'm pleased to note that Franz1997 has already answered your question
regarding the" Eighteen" speaker in greater detail than I could have
provided. Hope this helps ( with the option spkr the Mambo still only
weighs around 28 lbs ,very portable )

I don't know if it's been mentioned but Henriksen has model coming in October with a 6" speaker. Videos on their Facebook page show it capable of even handling upright bass. Recent video has sample with latest cab that is slightly large than earlier prototypes.

I visit the Dallas International Guitar Show just about every year and this man, Clint Strong is normally at the booth for Van Hoose guitars, playing up a storm. This particular year I noticed that both he and another gentleman were playing through Henrickson Amps (one was the 10'' and the other the 12"). They sounded heavenly, IMHO.

It appears someone captured him playing the Henrickson in the video above. If you look behind him, you can see a couple of them.

Nice amps. I believe I could be happy with one.

(By the way, for those of you that visit, here is Van Hoose guitars website. I have never been there myself but they seem to have some nice archtops every year at the show, as well as other "Jazzy" items)

Interesting. That speaker could also be a valid candidate for a Henriksen 112 speaker replacement.
(I have a Henriksen 112). However it weighs about 1Kg more than the Eminence Beta 12.
