    Hi,
I found the best jazz sounding pickups for my Telecaster.
APG are fantastic pickups in single size hand made by Andrey Polyakov.
My Tele sounds now like very expensive jazz box.
This is my first recording with these pickups.
Neck position with 1/2 tone control.
    Sounds like PAF-simply great.
    I am very happy...:

Lovely. I've said it many time but I think you have some of the best Tele jazz tone I've ever heard. I love the way it snaps a bit around the 1 minute mark.

    Hi Rob,
These pickups are custom made. They are quite new for me.
I will ask him about the model but he did also some mods for me.
Please contact to Andrey Polayakow and he will send to you info what he exactly did.

Kris, does this pickup fit in the standard tele mount or is it a full size humbucker?

Yes, nice, that's a very good sound you've got, are you playing with fingers?

Heh, last thing I want from a tele is a PAF sound, but then I'm a single-coil guy -- on a Strat I want to be able to hear my fingerprints

    Nice playing though!

    Hi DG,
I think it is a Tele and PAF sound is really difficult to creat on it.
I've just experiment with great new APG pickups.
There is a push-pull option on my Tele pots also....and I like single-coil too.
    Thanks

looked up PAF and came up with this, new to me:

The strange name (PAF) of the pickup was not intentional. Gibson and Seth Lover first filed a patent on the design on June 22, 1955. After that, Gibson Les Pauls were equipped with these new pickups, with a sticker on a bottom plate of a pickup that said Patent Applied For. A patent was eventually issued on July 28, 1959. Since it took more than four years to get a patent number, the unnamed pickup had been dubbed "PAF" by many guitarists during the period the application was pending, and this name continued even after the patent had been issued.

Wow those sound very convincing for a small coil humbucker

of course your great playing also helps a lot

they are a dual blade humbucker right ? Kind of like the Joe Barden's. But at $80 they are half the price.... I think I might order one and see how it does with my 69 tele thinline.

GFS also has a very similar dual coil Tele neck humbucker, but at $29 (!) I would be a bit anxious of the quality ? Anyone tried that ? Lil Puncher XL- Neck Pickup-- 2 Versions Available

You have the Dual Tone pickups? If you have the time I'd love to hear a clip of the pickup in single coil mode.
