Can you please tell me your source or supplier
where I can obtain the Ebony control knobs
for your AR580CE , I too would like to make

I acquired an 803 a month ago. I threw in a Benedetto B6 (which I view as a change, rather than an upgrade) and also ebony knobs as a few others in this thread did. I have these faceted knobs with numbers on 2 of my guitars and love them. They look great, especially with a B6 pickup. Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated.

Not a great picture, but here are the rosewood knobs on my AR403:

Hi Professor Jones,
Thank you for the info I will certainly follow it up
Cheers

Got my T186mx back from the techs. Had them totally gut and rewire and install a SD '59 in the neck and an old Ibanez Super 58 in the bridge. I learned something here - both pickups have exactly the same resistance values so when you have the selector switch in the mid position it sounds out of phase a little. Probably gonna go after a SD '59 Bridge pickup in a few weeks and have them put that in, save the Super 58 for some other day. Need to get some nice wood knobs and a set of TI 12 flat wounds on her to really warm her up. It's raining here so no sexy outside pictures today.

The temptation is too great...i must share:
T165SX w/ Lollar SCFH Pickups. Ebony Knobs and Ebony Tuning Heads.
T146SMD w/ Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers. New wiring harness and pots. Ebony Knobs & Ebony Tuning Heads on Chrome Gotoh Tuners. All Chrome. Bigsby B3. Gotoh Bridge on Ebony Base!
These 2 girls really complement each other. Gorgeous!

AR803 w/Benedetto B6 and ebony knobs.
T186 w/aluminum tailpiece, ebony knobs, ebony switch knob, ebony tuner knobs, and ebony pickguard.

I really like those hat style ebony knobs. I always thought they made more sense in that I believe they help to protect the guitars finish when turning the pot. Where do you get those? I have not seen them any where and I have looked before.
-
The ebony hat knobs I like to use are from Germany, available via eBay. You can search "ebony customknob" on eBay to find them, although it seems they don't stock them in ebony at the moment.

I put a Ken Armstrong floating PAF (the 12 pole kind) on my 805ce. It matches the guitar well. It's my profile picture.
-
My mods are similar to many others here: black knobs, new pickup. I don't like pickguards so took it off too even though it is a really nice ebony bound deal that they don't use anymore. I swap between an EMG H1 and a Mojo Pickups UK PAF in black cover.
I've always disliked the Eastman tailpieces ... they seem bulbous and heavy-handed on an otherwise elegant guitar. Luckily the 371 comes with a bog-standard trapeze.

Well, I hope you don't mind me digging out an old thread, but i just got around to install a new pickguard on my Eastman made Baton Rouge.
The pickguard is cut from a piece of stained plywood. I applied the wood binding and did a french polish. I'm quite happy with how this turned out.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread. Never seen it before. I got a Pisano 880 about 6 years ago. I didn't care for the tailpiece so I made one. I'll admit I borrowed from Peter Hopkins. I like the way it mimics the headstock, and I never really dug the frog inlay.
I also didn't care for the Pisano finger rest, but for some reason I don't like any of them and I don't use them for anything. I take them off all mine unless there's a pickup hanging off it. Even my old Les Pauls. I also swapped out the pickup for the US made Kent. Also a natural bone nut.
I'll never let this one go. It plays so well, and it's worth more to me than what it's worth out there.
I don't name my guitars usually, but this one is known around the house as Creme Brûlée.
(this is a Belgian website after all! Note how it spell corrected and added the accents. I don't know how to do it!)

Same here. My 580CE is stock and has served me so well. Everything is just so comfortable and the notes always seem to be right under my fingers. Beautiful to look at, very well made, a lovely acoustic sound and effortless playing - what’s not to like?I'll never let this one go. It plays so well, and it's worth more to me than what it's worth out there.

El Rey 4
Home-brew Zircote pickguard -- I like pickguards
Ebony & maple knobs, since I had 'em
Ebony pickup ring, since I had one and it was the right height for the pickguard
