I play a lot of classical guitar andI use D'Addario's too normal tension. La Bella's are nice too. I used to use Hannabach's, I forgot about that until I saw this thread. I remember them being extremely nice, might have to track them down again.
I use Curt Mangan strings on my electrics except my Collings eastside(hollowbody) where I use Thomastiks.

I was satisfied with Savarez Hard tension and I wanted to try something else
So I gave La Bella Hard tension a try this week-end and I 've been quite surprised by the sound I got.
Just wait to see how long it will last.

come to think of it, i once tried of ernesto palla (ernie ball) nylons; their distinguishing characteristic were black treble strings. that set lasted a really long time. i think it even had ball end strings, if memory serves. sound was fine.

I am going with Savarez 540j for now, I will report when I have them - although I am not sure what I have to report matters since my nylon experience is close to none. I will do it anyway

Thanks a lot for all the input!

I graduated as a classical guitar player from the conservatory in my neck of woods, so I grew up with classical music for guitar, plus my uncle was a luthier building custom-order classical guitars for professionals players.

Listing this as a background, my choice of string's been the same for many years:

    * Cedar top: Savarez Yellow Card set, Very High Tension

    * Spruce top: Hannabach E-815 Red, Very High Tension

allthough i have daddario strings on my achtop, strat, fretless-e-bass and my contrabass, i prefer hannabach high tension for my concert-guitar (krempel guitar with unlaquered spruce top).
augustine strings do sound good at first, but that does not last for long. soon the sound gets dull and weak. sometimes the intonation is not correkt on higher frets as well. no recommendation from me.
if theres no chance to get hannabach strings i d take daddario high tension.

other brands i do not know or dont remember exactly.

    please excuse my bad english...

    greetings
    zwar
