Is it good for nylon strings guitar?

I don't see why not. It's not an amp, it's a tweeter. You plug it into your amp's extension cabinet jack (if there is one), and it provides an adjustable crossover circuit that passes only certain frequencies to it. That way you can optimize the amplified high frequency reproduction of acoustic instruments even when using a traditional electric guitar-voiced amplifier.
It is the opposite of a subwoofer, which does the same thing for very low frequencies.

Thanks Roger.
Did you trie it?

I had one. It worked very well for amplified acoustic and acoustic/electric hybrid guitars. I think it would work quite well with an amplified nylon string guitar, too. Some people like it with an archtop guitar as well, but I sold mine when I sold my A/E hybrid. Still, highly recommended.

I'm glad that Tom chimed in, because no - I have not tried it. I have a Redstone cabinet with a built in (adjustable) tweeter.

How does the signal chain work? Does your amp need two speaker outputs?
-
You need an extension speaker output jack on your amp that works with the internal speaker on at the same time - not either/or like the ZTs. The Tweetey has 2 parallel in/out jacks for daisy-chaining - that is, connecting both the Tweetey and an external speaker cabinet to the amp's extension speaker jack.

I have one and I am selling it. It creates a weird stereo effect that I do not enjoy.. acoustic amps are so cheap it's just easier to get one.

Jorge pm me.

I have a Tweety I'd be interested in selling. I sold my Henriksen 12R a month ago (went to a DRRI), so I have no need for it anymore. It's great for extending the tonal range of a jazz amp. I used it with my Breedlove Bossa Nova (through the 12R) and the sound was fantastic. Send me a personal message if interested.

My apologies, Jorge. I did not read your earlier post.

it's ok Mark, I want one too. PM sent.

I too am looking for a used Tweety.

Good quality acoustic amps are expensive!...:-)

Redstone cabinet looks like all in "one".
Nice!

Mark, no problem

Anyway I am in Portugal so it's kind of hard to sell to the US, that's why I have not even posted in the "for sale" section, I am trying to sell it locally.

Well Kris the AER is expensive (and way overpriced inmho)... A fishman loudbox, for example, is much cheaper - and sounds quite better, to my ears.

Otherwise something like the T30 is a much better solution, in my opinion of course

I like this solution more honestly. It doesn't have the weird stereo effect...

Not every one like AER amps because of sterile sound-too clean. But for some musicians it is a standard pro quality acoustic amp.for ex.: T.Emanuell or M. Taylor...:-)

I am going to see Tommy and Martin tomorrow night. Looking forward to it.

The Ibanez are not comparable with the AER - just comparable with the Tweety. For the price I rather have a T30 than a Tweety...

And as you say plenty of pros gig with AER (even Russell Malone with an archtop, but I don't like his sound personally), they're just not for me.

I have the Henriksen jazzamp 110 and I use it with an archtop jazz guitar (The Loar LH 350 VS). The sound is impressive; to me, the guitar sound is a combination between a jazz guitar (archtop) and a folk guitar (flattop). My question: is it useful to buy a Henriksen tweety in combination with my archtop? When I read the information on the website about the tweety, I get the impression that this speaker is meant to be used with flattop guitars and nylon string guitars.
Thank you,
Erik

If you want your archtop to sound a bit more "acoustic-y" then the tweety will help. But keep in mind that you can't use a tweeter to reproduce what's not there - if you are using a magnetic pickup, then there is already a lack of the higher freq's even going to the amp.
