I'm in the market for a thinner body archtop. I guess you could say the "Byrdland style" is what I'm after.

The D'Aquisto Jazz Line Jr. has really intrigued me. My only issue is that they're only available from a few online dealers, one being D'Aquisto through Amazon (seems weird to me) so I can't try any in person.

Has as anybody played or owned one? Any feedback is appreciated.

If I could help you I would but these things are out of my range. You might start by searching through the forums.

I *think* Aria is building/importing that line (they might be being built by Peerless in Korea, but it's a good chance I'm mis-remembering that). In any case, for that much money I would contact Aria and ask for a shop near you that has one to try out. Even if it means a road trip it may be worth it. 4K is a lot to drop, sight unseen. Just my opinion.

    Oops,

It was just the search results for "d'aquisto jazz line" because it appears that they have been discussed on the forum before.

These come up often on ebay. It's worth a chance to try one at the used price. If you don't like it, you can sell it back at roughly the same price.

I own a Jazz Line guitar.
I play it in several videos on my channel, you can check that out to get an idea of the sound:

Of course, YMMV depending on amp, pick and how you play.

I like it. It's VERY easy to play. I'm not good on technical guitar lingo, but I believe the scale length is short because there is less distance from fret to fret. The neck is also thin and narrow, not at all like an ES-175 or wide-neck guitars like that.

It's an L5-esque sound. Obviously nothing near the quality of a real L-5, but it has that bright, clear but still woody kind of tone. The guitar is good value for the price class, but I highly recommend you try before buy. Because of the neck dimensions and scale length that might not feel comfortable for everybody.

Does anyone know what the body depth measurement is on the jazz line jr or the jazz line?

Just came across this one on ebay. Kinda cool in natural with the mahogany neck.

I Have the Jazzline version (not the JR) I love it! All the Aria/D´aquistos are made in Terada Factory, Japan (Gretsch factory) not in Korea. Try one and sure you buy it!

He was asking about the Jazz Line Jr., which is 15" across, 2" deep.
