Any advice on learning to play a wider nut width?

Ok, my custom G@L comes up to a little over $1200....I put the humbucker in the neck...on the bluesboy....boy, it seems like a lot for such a simple guitar setup...

What kind of 'advice' could there be, other than to just play it a lot?

And yet a lot of players do struggle with a wider nut, so perhaps there is more to it than just laying it a lot. Sometimes constant repetition can just reinforce the bad habits that make things difficult in the first place.

It think it's in line with MIA Fender prices and even Warmoth. The one option I wanted but couldn't justify the price was an extra $400 MSRP ($300 street) for stainless steel frets. They do ding you on options.
