The EV SRO is alnico and the 12L is ceramic, they are supposed to be different (never tried the sro). WGS makes a SRO clone, less watts and efficiency but much lighter.

It's confusing with SRO's. People tend to focus on the more desirable "coffee can" versions which were alnico, but mine is the finned ceramic model from the late 70's, so I think it likely sounds a lot like current models. I had it reconed by Ted Weber a couple of years ago and haven't really played it until recently, so it still has some loosening up to do. I might try one of the eminence models in the interim. Which do you guys think sounds the closest to the ceramic EVs.... The Swamp Thang, Delta Pro....?

Edit: didn't see your recommendation for the warehouse version, Jorge, have you actually heard it? I'm only so so on the ET-65.... A little shrill for my taste, or very slow to break in. I like bargains, but I'm back to thinking that you usually get what you pay for.

Took a chance and ordered the Eminence Delta Pro - hard to pass up for $90 on amazon. Will load it into my Allen Old Flame and compare to my older ceramic SRO. Hoping for better low end than the current Lead 80 I've been using there.
