Not really sure. It doesn't seem to do a lot, but (from post #11) ...

Reverb 4

That's the only instance in which I've used it - seems to minimize feedback tendencies in certain midrange notes. Haven't done much experimentation, though, and I don't know what it does frequency/specs-wise. If I mess with it some more and come up with any more useful information I'll post it here.

I'm playing solo at a backyard tent outdoor wedding ceremony this afternoon. Rehearsal was yesterday. My MicroRig worked perfectly - Vagabond Travel Guitar (www.stringsmith.com) and LBA @:
Gain 9
Bass 4
Treble 6
Reverb 4
Volume 6 (may go to 7 for actual ceremony)
Feedback Cut off
With my guitar-in-gigbag over one shoulder and the LBA-in-gigbag over the other, carry-in and out is ridiculously easy!

Update:
Didn't have to go to 7 on the volume knob - 6 was fine.
People complimented my sound - and even my playing
- and said it was, "...just loud enough." (Hey, good name for a band!)

hey tom seems that ZT is really working out well for you ....
great to see there's another ZT fan here ..mine also gigged last week ...
Lba is really a small venue "working musicians" amp nice balance between compact, lightweight yet nicely featured with just enough power and volume to handle those small restaurant/coffee shop gigs where space in the venue and usually loading is a problem...
i'm thinking of getting a 2nd one for those gigs that are just too big for one or for more spread ....

Are you using the Lunchbox Acoustic in any of those videos? I really liked your tone with the white Telecaster!
I'm thinking about an original Lunchbox or the Acoustic model, but I usually play a solid body stratocaster or telecaster. I also wonder how either of them work with pedals (clean/light OD tube preamp, reverb, tremolo.)Last edited by Greaser; 08-05-2013 at 02:39 PM.

and yes the zt takes pedals well...at least i think so ... if i want a more fender amp tone from my zt when using my tele i put a boss deluxe reverb pedal in front of the acoustic lb and it sounds fabulous ... not as pure as the zt usually is ... and i like fender amp tone when using electrics....

Thanks, this is exactly what I was wanting to know! Do you think the acoustic version works/sounds better for this than the original Lunchbox (assuming you've tried both)?

The gain and volume controls don't interact quite the way most of us are used to with other amps. The gain control is more of an input level sensitivity control (like a trim pot on a mixing board) than a preamp output level control.
To loosely quote the owner's manual: "The GAIN knob controls the amount of input signal for the amplifier. Keeping this as high as possible will help reduce noise. The Lunchbox Acoustic was designed to work with a very wide range of guitar signal levels; because of this, it is not unusual to have the guitar gain turned up very high to get optimum tone and volume. The VOLUME knob then controls the overall volume of the amplifier."
This guitar has a passive piezo pickup (no battery) and has very low output. But even with my archtop (set-in humbucker not too close to the strings), I set the gain at 7. The amp doesn't do 'grit'!
