It is really a beautiful guitar, and you have a lot to be happy about, but I don't believe that pickup ring is the genuine article.

The bosses for the mounting screws look way off to me. On every genuine ring I've seen, the bosses do not touch the inside corners of the frame. A black M-69 isn't a huge ticket item, but it raised a red flag, which is why I kind of wanted to see a better picture of the pickup.

I'm also not seeing the tell tale tooling marks on the legs of the pup. The decal appears to be OK . . . but, there are other anomalies . . such as the bosses on the M69 ring and the tooling marks. A better picture providing a shot of the full bottom of the pup will tell us more

    Perhaps the only musical weapon...

but you have forgotten about Monty Python's Killer Joke...developed in utmost secrecy by the British in WW II....so lethal that individuals were only allowed to know of part of the joke...for fear that they might liquidate themselves inadvertently...one chap learned of several phrases (but not the entire joke)--and put himself in a coma for 6 months.

BTW, I kid you not...and this is no laughing matter.

Here is an example of a PAF from an ES-335. Here we see an anomoly....2 bosses touch and 2 bosses do not ?

That's a tall pickup-ring MR490. I've never seen that on a 491 before. I have seen it on 490s that have been sanded. (Usually 3X5s, and middle pickup rings on some PAF Les Paul Customs)

Here's an example showing both neck- and bridge pup rings from an ES-175

That's great prime real estate. You don't see early humbuckers like that every dy.
