I might take a day out to London to Maraints as they have a couple of D'Aquistos in. Is it true they are made at the same factory as Sadowsky? Any of you guys got a Snog, marry, avoid opinion on them?

This one sounds very good. Pickup is great.

Who is currently manufacturing the D'Aquisto guitars please?
I own and love a Fender D'Aquisto Elite, and I am trying to figure out who is making the current D'Aquisto
models.

They are not made anymore I think, but I think Aris had the brand's name copyrights, etc.

I also have a Fender D'Aquisto, that's one really unique guitar, and those pups are just about the best I've heard.

Isn't Aria making the DAquisto Jazz Line?

If you go to Mairants try the Eastside LC as well, they should have one with ebony fretboard.

Cheers, maraints have 2 jazz lines. I like it when there is one to compare against

that's interesting. Every knock I've heard against the 80's Fender Elite's has always been against the pickups...and the comments are always 'the pups too bright'. Which of course made me resistant to sample one...well that and I no longer buy 16" archtops. There's at least a few folks that feel the pup is an asset...interesting.

I actually went to buy a Strat, but when I picked up the one that looked like a cello, I fell in love with it. -- Sometimes we are more lucky than smart.

BRIGHT??? Wow, I'd call them ANYTHING but bright. To put them in tactile terms...
They're both as soft as a negligee covered derriere, as smooth as a stocking covered leg, silky as a....a ... My GF just walked in the room, you get the picture, gotta sign off :-)

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary last night with dinner and live jazz. As luck would have it, one of the guitarists was playing this Aria D'Aquisto Jazz Line ...

He said he kept scanning eBay and picked it up for $2,000 - and he liked it better than some other D'Aquisto that he had previously owned and regretted selling.Last edited by HighSpeedSpoon; 03-02-2013 at 03:56 PM.

happy anniversary to you and yours. I actually saw that archtop sell. It sat there for too long before he bought it. I thought about it more than once, but in the end I've moved on to carved tops. Gorgeous archtop though and a real find!
