Finding good Tortoise pickguard material?

I don't know about the Allparts tortoise L5-style pickguards, if they are made of celluloid or plastic. Do you have any experience in the tortoise pickguard made by allparts, if they are good. Do they crumble like those old celluloid pickguards that can be found in L5s, Super 400s, Johnny Smiths etc.

I'm in the UK and I'm looking for some tortoise shell pick guard material for a Telecaster something darkish with low lights not bright. I can find some at Stew Mac in the US but not much yet in the UK.
