I bought this from a gentleman who was a friend of Bill's received it in his Estate along with his fakebooks (one of which has his name embossed on it).

I was told that this was the last one that he built but, the serial number disagrees with some of the online info.
    Rick,
Very nice guitar and awesome to see Bill's personal fake book with it. As a family member, If you ever have any reason to part with the Bill Barker ancillary items you have I'd love the opportunity to own them!

If you need and Barker spare parts I have tailpieces and some other items. I have a number is these and they probably are going to work for most folks.

Can you estimate the number of Barker guitars in existence?
How many Barker guitars did Billy Cook and Bill Hollenbeck each actually made?

Barker about 100-110. Hollenbeck 35. Cook not many less than 35 i would say.

    35...it is a lot!!
Did Hollenbeck and Cook made the Barker guitars each alone?
What is the difference between a Hollenbeck and a Cook made Barker guitars?

No Bill Hollenbeck made Hollenbeck guitar not Barkers. Bill Cook made Cook guitars not Barkers. They both apprentice under Barker but made there own guitars.

Barker guitars all made by Bill Barker. Do your homework look it up.

I took guitar lessons from Bill when he lived in central Illinois. Wish I could find one of his guitars.
