I love that Campellone. It's got the Art Deco appointments but doesn't look like a D'A clone at all. I'm sure it sounds as good as it looks. Be careful with that flame maple. There's so much flame on that wood, make sure you don't burn yourself.

Yes, the Campellone sounds great. I have owned a couple of Mark's guitars and been very impressed with them. He is a great guy too. I didn't mean to hijack the Gibson JS discussion. I love JS's too. When I ordered my Campellone, I asked Mark to make me a guitar that was just like a vintage JS, and that's what he did (except Mark uses parallel bracing).

It's on Verve # V6 - 8692 -Called simply 'Johnny Smith'. The front has the cardboard cut to showcase the Gibson Johnny Smith. It was recorded in 1967. The closest I could get to owning that guitar in 1967 ( or any time since, really ) was to buy the record !! Enjoy your guitar, you have got a classic.

    Hello,
I am new to this site as well and recently purchased a 1969 Johnny Smith myself. It is the best guitar I have ever played in my 35 years of experience.
I have owned about 50 guitars in the past, but I will never let this one go.
