Thank you! All this is immensely helpful information. It's easy to get misled into settling for something that's "not quite what I wanted," and then regretting it later. These few key nuggets of guidance will keep me on track.

I had no idea that there was any other type of pickup. Heck I thought all nuts were 1 3/4.

I have learned more about the guitar here in just the few months that I have been a member than all the years that I have owned a guitar.

I love my Soloway Loon. It's truly my favorite player. It has 1 13/16" at nut, 2 3/16" at bridge with a 24.75" scale length. My Sadowskys' are more traditional in shape-- both with the shorter scale length. The Bruno with the 11/16th and the Hall with the 3/4. But, as necks go, the Loon blows me away. Jim is make me a contour T with the same Loon neck specs. Looking forward to that.
