This is making me consider the Eastman AR403CE a fully laminate. But at the same time I don't want to buy a guitar that sounds the same as my epiphone sheraton 2
You need to just play as many guitars as you can and let yourself be the judge. Anyone else's advice is futile. They can only point you in the right direction.

I can get advice from anything (pedals, amps, cables, strings, etc...) and even buy online without trying sometimes - EXCEPT guitars. That is really up to you! Never buy a guitar online, always play it first and play as many as you can! Even two guitars from the same brand, year, etc.. can feel very different.

Try them out yourself. Don't make your head hurt unnecessarily.

Still, go to Ivor Mairants and try as many jazz boxes as you can, at least you'll get some idea. Do the legwork. They are very nice guys in there and were happy to let me try guitars.

FWIW, I read this whole thread and I seem to agree with really everything that Jazzpunk stated. I am not taking sides here, but to give my opinion, which happen to align with exactly what Jazzpunk stated. Every time I felt like posting, he responded as I would.

We must have some crazy karma going on......
