The range and quality of the synth sounds - fun for me. And the modelling/effects - fun for my young daughter, who's learning to play (she likes rock/metal).

Jam Origin – Audio to MIDI was perfect for me. I already had a decent macbook with Mainstage 3 and a minimal interface (Scarlett 2i2.) Total cost of that stuff is still less than some of these other guitar-synth options. I've performed with Mainstage and a midi controller. Now any guitar is a midi controller! (Violin too.) It's pretty frickin' cool.
I bought the thing a little over a year ago, before they released the current version. I think these guys have put a serious hurt on the hardware-heavy guitar midi rigs; might even make 'em extinct.

Wow! Must look into that - thanks!
