Man I still dig my Poly... I've only been using it for a couple years. I use it at least 200+ gigs a year. Use a twin for the rest, love the sound and feel of twin... just to heavy. I hope the Poly lasts... I feel as though I'm giving up a little with the poly, a little sterile... but I can hear everything...

They're still great jazz "plug and play" amps.

I can't part with mine--my tele sounds way better through it than it does with my Henriksen.

OP, have you made a decision? What most of us are trying to tell you is that for the cost of repairing it (likely for less than that) you could have a reverb that's better than the stock polytone 'erb, and not have to give up your amp to a repairman for God knows how long...and you get options!

Good day...have a Polytone Mini/Teeny Brute on the way. Non-reverb unit. I have reviewed some of the on-line threads regarding Polytones and reverb issues. I mainly play jazz with an Aria Pro II FA70 jazz box. Have a vintage Electro-Harmonix chorus as my only effect (I use the chorus sparingly, I like a pure sound). However, I like a "taste" of reverb at times. I've looked at reverb pedal options...prices any where from $14 up to several hundred. Players, in your opinion (which I value a great deal), what is the best value in a solid reverb pedal? BTW...I play in mostly small rooms and intimately-sized theaters. Thanks much...have a happy day!

I have used an Eventide space reverb with my polytone lately. Before that I have used a T.C electronics NOVA reverb and a Boss rv3(I still have those two pedals). I'd maybe look into the T.C hall of fame(I haven't tried it yet), it seems to be a great value. Also the Digitech hardwire reverb is worth looking into.

For the price I like both Hardwire RV-7 and TC Hall of Fame... the RV-7 is probably more subtle, I don't know. The TC is quite smaller if that matters.

I currently use T.C. Hall of Fame with a Henriksen.
I mainly use the Church and Hall reverb type, don't like much the Spring and Plate.
