    I'm being forced to switch to roundwounds, I can't affor flats anymore for now well, at least I will be able to increase a little more the string gauge. .014, here I go!!

    Flats for electric, did roundwound for a bit which I enjoyed but the 'ole finger squeek just become another thing to consider for those lightning fast jazz shreds!

    Flats for future frenetic fingerboard frenzies!

    Well, sir, of course, like everyone says, it's a matter of personal taste, but on my Gibson ES-165 Herb Ellis model (laminate, floating humbucking), I've tried many strings and have found that nothing comes close to the Thomastik-Infeld George Benson .012 flatwounds for a great, deep, rich, jazz tone. I hate to be so gushing with praise without getting paid for it, but it's the truth.

    That's my strings, model, and gauge of choice, as well!!!
