    I love it

i love the one and the way it's finished more than a 335. you can see it on the cover of my Summer Songs CD.

I just released my 39th cd on my 62nd birthday a week after i got a 1968 Es175, which will be on my 40th cd in 2020. a picture of the ES175 made it on the Cd . I use many sweet guitars on all my cds!

God Bless in the New Year!

Cool guitar. Congratulations & Happy NGD !!!!
    Starfires are great.

I looked for a 335 for years. I found a couple of nice ones, but for one reason or another (mostly $$$ at the time) I never brought one home. They vary so much. In the end, I found a 175 instead. I also remember a really nice 330 that I encountered while shopping.

when the time is right..the forgotten thread will reappear!! whats all the hubbub bub?

gibson country gentleman came about when gretsch was no longer..and chet signed with gibson to make some signature models...a friend of mine has the gibson country gent..it's a lovely guitar..but chet had certain criteria in his later days..he liked the more acoustic classical flat radius wide necks...liked quiet humbucking pickups but with broad frequency response...he was a country picker through and through...his mentors were the everly brothers dad..ike everly... and merle travis...he liked those clean and clear tones

gibson did good by him..until gretsch was restored thru fmic...and now his name lives thru gretsch again..where it properly belongs!!!

a great gibby guitar nevertheless...but idiosyncratic!

    cheers

ps- gibby has continued to mine the chet/gretsch vibe thru epi..with the swingster
