    LOL.. probably not bad

I am not perfect and I have not used Pyramids yet because

    1) they are expensive
    b) they arent easy to find
    4) ToneQuestReport rants about how great they are but their mag is so full of elitist mojo bull$hit that I have a hard time taking them seriously.

You use them, what are your thoughts? I am more likely to listen to you than to TQR

I've been using Thomastiks on my Eastman AR805, archtop with floating humbucker, Swings. I love 'em! I have heard great things about the D'Addario flats from a jazz pro, and am going to try them on either the 805 or my new Thinline.

The Thomastiks last *forever*. I have never had strings that lasted like these....months and months and months! And being played every day! Incredible!

The heavier gauges will significantly affect the sound....I've been playing on too light of a gauge (I use lightgauge on my flattop acoustics), and will switch to 11s or even 12s.

I enjoy the Pyramid flats, but I've never tried any other, so it's hard to judge them in comparison with others…

TI Swing 0.11's on my Hofner Very Thin Classic .
I like these string because their not dead and dull sounding, easy to play and not to stiff.
    Great tone.

I take the point that different strings bring out the inherent
    sound of a given instrument...
love these... i have used la bella flatwounds for my super400ces for 25 years...
at first a 15 set probably similar to yours...have been down to their
regular 12 set for the last 10 years. the current set i put on a year ago
and it still sounds great... but then again i need to change strings on other
electric guitars which i record with at least once a week... :-)
